Nexium 24HR 20 mg enteric coated tablets for the lasting symptomatic relief of frequent heartburn, acid regurgitation and other symptoms associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is one tablet a day. - Do not take more than this recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) a day, even if you don't feel an improvement immediately. - You may need to take Nexium 24HR for a few days before experiencing the full effect. - Nexium 24HR should be taken for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. - Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel better while taking Nexium 24HR. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor. Further examination may be required.
Always read the label, use only as directed. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you: nausea or vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, headache, wind, stomach pain, skin rash, itchy skin, dizziness or dry mouth. These side effects are usually mild. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. Some medicines may interfere with Nexium 24HR. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant unless your doctor says so. Ask your doctor about the risks and benefits involved. It is not known if it is safe for you to take Nexium 24HR while you are pregnant. It may affect your baby. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are breastfeeding. Ask your doctor for more information. It is not known if Nexium 24HR is excreted in breastmilk if you are breastfeeding.

Nexium is considered a should not be taken at the same time as do-nitrates, exacerbate or impair the body’s clearance of nitrates. It may also lead to a decrease in blood pressure. If combined with a high-fat diet, this may precipitate a high- BP- stroke. If you are over 60 years of age or if you have heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, are already taking medicines called nitrates-arginine 3',' s-' and nitroglycerin, this combination may make them more difficult to control. Take Nexium 24HR at least 14 days between doses. Do not take Nexium 24HR together with these medicines. Ask your doctor about managing high blood pressure in children. If you take this medicine in the first place you may experience an allergic reaction. Nexium 24HR may therefore be used to treat high blood pressure. Check with your doctor before taking this medicine if you are already taking medicines called nitrates-nitroprusside (Norvasc), nitrates- glyceryl trinitrate (Prolothix), nitrates- glycolytic N-oxicidase (code NOC) inhibitors such as toenadomine. Nitrates must be used with Nexium 24HR to treat heartburn. If heartburn occurs in the first 2 or 3 days after completing the once-daily tablet do not take this medication, since it may lead to dizziness or light-headedness. Take Nexium 24HR exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet. In case of accidentalREADING, wash and dry the affected area before and after this formulation.

Do not use:- for children under 18 years of age.- if allergic to esomeprazole.- if allergic to any other proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole).- if you are taking antiretroviral medicines, such as atazanavir.- if you are taking cilostazol a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg (or arms) due to inadequate blood flow to the muscles.- if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed.- -f you are experiencing weight loss, persistent regurgitation of food or vomiting, difficulty swallowing or symptoms of gastro-intestinal bleeding, except on medical advice- if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant except on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist- if the expiry date printed on the pack has passed. This medication is typically used twice a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Generally, this medication is taken orally once a day, with or without food. However, you may need to take this medication every day for a longer duration, depending on your schedule. Do not crush, chew, or open the medication or administer it to, not by or behind of your symptoms, but in the mouth or throat.
It may take up to two weeks before you feel the effects, although you may notice improvement in symptoms within a few days. Please allow the full course of treatment to pass after you finish the medication. If you stop taking this medication too soon, you may not be able to cure your condition. Keep taking this medication even if you feel well.
If you are unable to finish the medication or stop it prematurely, you should consult your doctor for advice before taking additional medication. This medication may cause vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, or stomach pain. It may also cause you to feel light-headed, shortness of breath, trouble breathing, or experience stomach pain. Please consult your doctor for advice before taking other medications.

Store this medication at room temperature, between 59°F. and 86°F. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
This medication should not be used if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients in this drug. If you have severe heart, liver, kidney, or lung problems, or an inherited eye disease, consult your doctor before using this drug.

The most common side effects of this drug are headache, dry mouth, upset stomach, constipation, nausea, vomiting, and low blood pressure. These side effects usually settle within a few hours. However, they can take longer if you are prescribed this medication. Some side effects may be less likely to occur if you are using an additional medication.
Side effects usually resolve on their own within a few weeks. However, you may experience drowsiness or dizziness. You should not drive or operate machinery if you develop dry mouth or light-headedness. Avoid alcoholic beverages. This drug can increase the risk of drowsiness and dizziness. If you develop dizziness, or any mental changes, immediately discuss with your doctor these possibilities.
Nexium control is a 24-ARI treatment that helps your body get rid of excessive amounts of acid in your stomach and intestines. This medicine is taken orally, once a day, and for the treatment of reflux. The active ingredient in Nexium control is esomeprazole magnesium, which is used to treat reflux disease and ulcers caused by bacteria. It is also used to help to reduce the amount of stomach acid the body makes. The acid in your stomach may make it hard to pass or swallow. If you have a problem with acid production, this medicine will not help your stomach. It also will not help your intestines to pass it all the time. You must take this medicine with a meal to reduce the amount of stomach acid. The treatment is for one week, but esomeprazole control is for a total of 24 treatment periods. You can take this medicine for any number of years, but it must be taken at least once a day. You must talk to your doctor if you are taking this medicine for any disease. Nexium control is a prescription medication, and you must know the medicines that Nexium control is used for. You must know that Nexium control is not addictive.
Nexium control is also used to help to reduce the amount of stomach acid in people with GERD, ulcers caused by stomach acid, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Nexium control is also used to prevent the development of cancer in the stomach and intestines. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for long periods of time unless your doctor tells you to. Take this medicine in to yourself. If you feel painful or have been having pain during treatment, please see your doctor right away. Take this medicine at the same time each day.
